Port Burwell - Mark C. DesRoches

I have fond memories of attending the Passionist Retreat Centre in Port Burwell, Ontario. Port Burwell is on the north shore of Lake Erie. After a full day I remember with gratitude warming myself by a bonfire on the beach. Perhaps it was at Port Burwell that I was introduced to Fr. Thomas Berry C.P. (November 9, 1914 - June 1, 2009). Thomas Berry C.P. was a "geologian" who studied Earth History and Evolution. He has very much inspired Canadian Passionists. The chapel in the Main House depicted in stained glass windows the Stations of The Cosmos. I seem to remember a stained glass window representing the Dawn of Agriculture and another one, the Coming of Technology.
